What is EventLedger?

EventLedger is bookkeeping software for business managers who run touring artists, publishing, merch, and other multi-entity books.

A firm is the management company. A client is an artist (or related entity) under that firm. You keep each client’s books in its own workspace, then jump between clients from the dashboard.

  • Code vendor invoices and move them through review, approve, and paid
  • Record bank deposits and bank payments against the client’s own accounts
  • Import credit card statements and post them to the ledger
  • Keep a chart of accounts, journals, divisions (tour/show dimensions), and vendors
  • Run financials, AP reports, and 1099 summaries

EventLedger never holds client funds. It does not sit in the middle of a payment, and it does not operate an FBO, escrow, or pooled settlement account.

When you Pay an invoice in EventLedger, you are updating the invoice’s status in the books. Money still leaves the client’s own bank account. Bank Payments and Debits & Credits are for coding activity that already happened (or will happen) on that account.
